- internal modem the same way it sees a serial board with an external modem
- connected to it.
- I'm not against external, I own 2 external Couriers. One
- advantage I'd have a hard time giving up is the ability to share and IRQ
- between 2 ports/modems. If the ports sharing the IRQ are on the same
- physical card (which is possible with an I/O board) then there's no
- problem (at least under a real OS like Unix, not sure about windoze, I'd
- imagine it's the same other than the possibility of shoddy com drivers
- mucking it up). I use them simultaneously with dual 31.2 connects going
- full blast and have no data/loss or slowdown due to IRQ sharing. IRQ's
- are rare in my machine (so many cards, so few IRQs). Try sharing a
- single IRQ and doing simultaneous use with 2 internal modems, have fun.
